Duties Supervise all aspects of the produce department, including stocking, merchandising, and quality control to ensure freshness and presentation standards are met consistently Manage inventory levels through effective ordering, purchasing, and stock rotation to minimize waste and maximize profitability Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and development of team members to build a motivated and knowledgeable staff Oversee daily store operations related to produce sales, including pricing and sales strategies Implement merchandising plans that enhance product visibility and customer engagement while adhering to safety protocols Monitor department performance through sales data analysis, inventory control reports, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards by conducting regular inspections and maintaining cleanliness Skills Strong management skills with proven experience supervising retail teams in a grocery or similar environment Excellent communication skills for effective managerial communication, employee orientation, and customer interactions Proficiency in inventory management systems and marketing produce Skilled in negotiation for purchasing agreements and vendor relations to secure the best prices and product quality Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively Demonstrated knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting, sales management, and operational management Experience with merchandising techniques, stock replenishment processes, and inventory control methods Leadership qualities with a focus on training & development, team management, and operational excellence Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently through excellent time management and organizational skills Familiarity with grocery store product knowledge along with basic math skills necessary for daily store functions Join us as a Produce Manager where your expertise will help create an inviting shopping experience while leading a dedicated team.
