An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

Efficiently manage and oversee daily store operations during assigned shiftsLead and motivate team members to maintain high performance standardsHandle financial transactions and manage cash flow accuratelyProvide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptlyAssist in training and developing new team membersEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and food safety regulationsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentProcess customer orders via phone and in-person with accuracy and efficiencyCollaborate with the management team to implement strategies for improving store performanceAssist in inventory management and supply ordering as neededQualificationsProven leadership experience in a fast-paced retail or food service environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team membersExcellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skillsProficiency in basic math and cash handlingAbility to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume settingPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 poundsFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysHigh school diploma or equivalent; further education in business management is a plusProficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skillsPositive attitude with a customer-first mindsetStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standardsTime management skills and ability to meet deadlines consistentlyAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
