Job Description

The RIP Collective is seeking an experienced, motivated Retail Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our growing trading card and collectibles store. The ideal candidate is an experienced retail leader who is already familiar with the trading card and collectibles community. This person should be confident managing employees, making hiring decisions, solving problems, and running a store without constant supervision. We are looking for someone who treats the business like their own, leads by example, and understands how important trust, organization, product knowledge, and customer relationships are in the collectibles industry. Position Requirements Previous retail management experience is required. Must have experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and managing retail employees. Strong knowledge of trading cards and collectibles, including TCG products, sports cards, and the overall hobby. Familiarity with popular products and brands such as Pokémon, Marvel, Bowman, Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Star Wars, Disney, and other major sports and entertainment card products is strongly preferred. Must be available to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays, as business needs require. Must be dependable, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of store performance. Strong customer-service, communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience managing inventory, point-of-sale systems, cash handling, merchandising, and retail loss prevention. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Primary Responsibilities Oversee all daily retail store operations. Recruit, interview, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate store employees. Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for attendance, performance, productivity, and customer service. Create a welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging experience for collectors of all experience levels. Maintain a strong understanding of current trading card products, releases, market trends, and customer demand. Oversee inventory receiving, organization, pricing, merchandising, restocking, and cycle counts. Ensure valuable inventory is handled securely and that loss-prevention procedures are followed. Manage opening and closing procedures, registers, deposits, and daily sales reporting. Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and visually appealing store. Help plan and manage product-release days, trade nights, tournaments, special events, promotions, and other in-store activities. Resolve customer concerns professionally and protect the reputation of The Rip Collective. Monitor store sales, staffing needs, inventory levels, and overall performance. Work closely with ownership and other departments to support company goals and continued growth. Be willing to step in wherever needed, including assisting customers, stocking merchandise, organizing inventory, and supporting special events. Schedule This is a full-time position. Weekend availability is required, and the schedule may include evenings, holidays, major product-release days, and special events.
