Who are we? Genesis Comics and Gaming is a local game store with locations in Patchogue and Ronkonkoma! At our Patchogue location, we sell comic books as well as sports cards and at our Ronkonkoma store, we sell Magic the Gathering, Lorcana, Pokemon, and other TCGs as well as Dungeons and Dragons books. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be an integral contributor to the success of day-to-day operations, including supporting the team! What does it take?

REQUIRED

Prior experience in managing day-to-day customer service as well as escalated situations in person, over the phone, email, Discord and or other web platforms Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and projects accordingly to staff and oversee execution of tasks and projects, assisting as needed for training and guidance Demonstrated a proficiency Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook, Canva, Discord, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other programs and platforms necessary for store operations Prior experience utilizing EventLink, Carde.io, Melee, and or other platforms for TCG event management Prior experience using Point of Sales (POS) systems required

• The ASM will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that are imperative to the success of the store. This will include but is not limited to managing supply, product, and drink/snack orders and inventory, staff training, and additional projects based on store needs. Floor Shifts
• The ASM will have 2 or more shifts, depending on store needs, a week dedicated to supporting the store operations behind the counter. When new employees are hired, some admin shifts may become floor shifts for appropriate training and leadership for new hires. The ASM will be responsible for supporting lists, customer service, event management and more while on floor shifts. Other
• The ASM will be responsible for maintaining buy lists, creating binders for new sets, supporting with cracking and pre-release prep, and other tasks assigned based on TCG set releases Next steps?
