JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a proactive and energetic Assistant Store Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the store's daily operations, lead sales efforts, and ensure excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and experienced in retail management, ready to motivate a team and uphold our standards of quality and efficiency.

Job Type:

Full-Time, Hourly Schedule:

Varies, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES

▸ Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures

▸ Lead and supervise retail sales staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service

▸ Oversee inventory management, including stock control, ordering, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities

▸ Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees

▸ Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, and basic math calculations related to sales and expenses

▸ Ensure proper training and development of team members to enhance their skills and performance

▸ Maintain effective communication with staff and management to ensure smooth operational flow

▸ Support food safety, cleanliness, and a safe working environment

QUALIFICATIONS

▸ Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in a retail environment is required

▸ Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

▸ Excellent communication skills, including managerial communication and phone etiquette

▸ Proficiency in POS systems, inventory control, pricing strategies, and retail math

▸ Knowledge of retail sales techniques, customer service best practices, and operational management

▸ Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases

▸ Organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling, bookkeeping, and scheduling

▸ Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire)

$21.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
