Retail Assistant Store Manager

Assistant Store Manager Cedar and Thread is looking for a driven, people-first leader who knows how to sell and knows how to teach others to do the same. The Role You'll partner closely with ownership to drive sales, develop our team's selling skills, and keep the day-to-day running smoothly. This isn't a stand-back-and-manage role — you'll be on the floor, leading by example, and setting the standard for what a great customer interaction looks like. What You'll Be Doing Driving store sales and consistently meeting and exceeding targets Coaching and training staff on selling techniques, product knowledge, and the customer journey Leading, scheduling, and supporting a small retail team Sharing leadership responsibilities and stepping up in the owner's absence Managing inventory with accuracy and care Creating and contributing to social media content that reflects our brand What We're Looking For Proven retail sales experience — you can close and you can teach others to do the same Experience leading or managing a team in a retail setting Comfortable with social media content creation (Instagram a plus) Strong inventory management and organizational skills Open availability Tuesday through Saturday, 9AM-6PM Why Cedar and Thread We're a boutique built on intentional curation and genuine connection.
