Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an essential role supporting students as a full-time Intervention Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity invites passionate Special Education Teachers to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized academic and behavioral support in a collaborative educational environment. You'll work closely with a diverse group of students, with age groups and caseloads varying throughout the year, giving you the chance to use your skills in dynamic and rewarding ways.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field Valid Special Education teaching certification Previous experience or strong interest in serving students with varying needs Ability to develop and implement IEPs, accommodations, and modifications Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with families, colleagues, and support staff Adaptable and organized, able to manage changing caseload's and support students of multiple age groups Understanding of best practices in classroom management and differentiated instructionPrimary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to enhance student learning Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that enables all students to thrive Maintain accurate records and adhere to compliance guidelines This full-time contract position runs from August 17, 2026 through May 27, 2027, with a 40-hour workweek.
