Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Nurse Supervisor for the Emergency Department!
Hours/Shift:
Full Time (40 hr/week)
Overview:
The Supervisor, Nursing and Patient Care Services in a hospital setting plays a key leadership role in the nursing department, supporting the manager in overseeing all patient care activity on their assigned nursing unit(s). They are responsible for ensuring high standards of care, coordinating daily nursing activities, and facilitating communication between medical teams. Assists with the training, mentoring, and performance evaluations of clinical staff. They also manage patient care assignments, help resolve patient and family concerns, and ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and safety regulations. Additionally, they assist in staffing decisions, maintain inventory for medical supplies, and ensure that the unit is properly equipped to provide quality care. We invite you to join our team in a high-volume, fast-paced unit with over 40 beds and more than 100,000 patient visits annually . Our department includes multiple treatment areas that care for patients across all acuity levels, offering diverse clinical exposure and the opportunity to work with a strong team focused on quality outcomes and performance excellence. Education Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (Required) or MSN (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Registered Nursing License (Required) BLS required within 90 days of hire Experience Minimum of 2 years emergency nursing and 1 year of nursing leadership experience. The base pay range for full-time employment is $104,416.00 - $154,356.80 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
Note:
If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
