The Opportunity As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in running the shop day-to-day, leading a team of scoopers and shift leads, and making sure every guest leaves happy. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be on the floor, coaching your team, solving problems, and setting the tone for great service. If you want to build your leadership skills, take on more responsibility, and grow toward a Shop Manager role, this position gives you the chance to prove what you can do. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and support scoopers and shift leads during busy shifts and slower periods. Oversee daily operations, including cash handling, inventory checks, scheduling, and opening/closing procedures. Set and model high standards for friendly, efficient, memorable guest service and show others how to deliver it. Motivate your team, give feedback, and help each person grow, learn, and contribute to shared goals. Support community events, local partnerships, and shop initiatives that build our brand and reputation. What Success Looks Like Within the first few months, you consistently run smooth shifts with strong guest feedback and minimal operational errors. Your team knows what is expected, feels supported, and can rely on you to handle questions, issues, and conflicts fairly. Shop standards for cleanliness, product quality, and cash/inventory accuracy are reliably met or exceeded. You are trusted to "hold it down" when the Shop Manager is out, keeping morale high and results on track. What We're Looking For Previous leadership or supervisory experience, ideally in food service or retail. Clear, confident communication skills and a calm, practical approach to problem-solving. Reliability, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of personal accountability. A genuine drive to grow, take on more responsibility, and help others develop their skills.
