Job Description
Deli Lead Position Description and Essential Functions The Deli Lead position will manage and oversee the Rooster Road Deli department in addition to execution and management of deli-related training, policies, and procedures that all store personnel must understand and adhere to. This position will plan, schedule, and execute all functions and duties so as to establish and maintain a profitable, organized, and quality department. Cooking Experience preferred. Job Requirements Schedule department staff, in collaboration with General Manager Supervise all department employees Plan, schedule, delegate and execute department production Manage entire department inventory Ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise Taking Deli orders and managing their fulfillment; submitting order into system for proper invoicing and accounting Assist Catering Department with preparations of jobs, either through direct help or delegation within the department Building and management of displays, including seasonally accurate and appropriate merchandise Responsible for in-stock position Pricing integrity Select items for weekly ad while adhering to company sale price requirements and restrictions Properly train new hires in the department Train and ensure all store personnel understand and follow proper food handling practices Servsafe manager certification required; company will assist in acquiring if necessary Non-essential Job Requirements Provide excellent guest service Handle all guest complaints in an appropriate, timely, and documented (if required) manner Reports to Store General Manager • The above list is not an all-inclusive list of duties and/or requirements.
