True World Foods LA True World Foods LA, a leading specialty food distributor, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique blend of sales, customer engagement, and hands-on production experience in the exciting world of premium seafood and specialty foods.
Key Responsibilities Sales Development & Customer Management:
Develop new and existing customer accounts through in-person visits, calls, texts, and emails. Prospect for new clients using business directories, trade shows, and online platforms. Provide new customer orientation, highlighting True World Foods' strengths such as food safety (HACCP compliance) and high-quality products. Display and demonstrate products using samples, flyers, or catalogs. Meet or exceed sales targets and profit margin goals.
Customer Support & Problem Solving:
Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve complaints, providing advice to help improve their business operations. Perform emergency deliveries when needed. Investigate product returns, submit credit memos, and train customers on company policies.
Production Participation:
Participate in morning production by preparing fish and dry/frozen items for delivery. Assist with cleaning tasks and food safety procedures.
Sales & Payment Management:
Monitor customer payments and credit status; visit customers for collections if necessary. Regularly deliver invoice statements to customers.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work closely with purchasing, delivery, production, and customer service teams to ensure customer needs are met. Attend department and cross-functional meetings to address sales and service issues. Communicate daily with the Sales Manager regarding activities and any issues.
Administrative & Vehicle Maintenance:
Submit monthly expense reimbursement requests. Maintain company vehicle (if applicable) to ensure cleanliness and proper operation.
