This role leads customer communication and guides the sales process through proposal review, decision support, closing, and handoff. Success looks like consistent follow-up, accurate forecasting, strong customer experiences, and complete, organized handoffs to operations resulting in repeat business, referrals, and reliable sales performance. Duties & Responsibilities Manage and grow relationships with existing customers to identify opportunities and drive repeat and referral business. Understand each customer's goals, scope, budget, and timing to ensure the sales process stays aligned with customer needs. Collect and document customer requirements so project management and the proposal team can prepare accurate estimates and proposals. Review prepared proposals for alignment with customer requirements and coordinate revisions with the proposal team. Present proposals clearly, explaining scope, options, and exclusions, and guide customers through the decision process. Coordinate responses to technical questions with the appropriate team to ensure accurate, timely answers. Follow up consistently and maintain momentum through closing while supporting customers with next steps and expectations. Adhere to approved pricing and scope requirements, obtaining approval before offering discounts, exceptions, or commitments outside the approved proposal. Maintain complete and current customer records, opportunity stages, next steps, and forecasts in the CRM. Provide a thorough sales handoff to operations, including agreed scope and customer commitments, and help resolve sales-related customer questions as needed. Support collection efforts when needed by partnering with operations on sales-related customer inquiries. Requirements Experience working with existing customers and managing sales opportunities through close. Strong customer communication skills, including the ability to explain scope, options, and exclusions clearly. Consistent follow-through and sound judgment in managing timelines, expectations, and approvals. Accurate recordkeeping and strong attention to detail for CRM updates and opportunity tracking. Ability to learn Cornerstone's products and sales process quickly. Working knowledge of CRM and sales tracking; experience with common sales tools is preferred. (EX. Salesforce) Ability to coordinate effectively with project management, proposal teams, and operations. Construction or building-products experience is helpful. Professional, inclusive approach to teamwork and customer interactions.
Education:
high school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
Years of experience:
