industry-leading provider of industrial fasteners and supply chain solutions is
seeking a Strategic Outside Sales Representative based in Lenexa, KS to cover a
growing Midwest territory (primarily KS, MO, and NE). This role focuses on
driving revenue growth across the agricultural, industrial, construction, and
recreational vehicle sectors. We are seeking a high-performing sales
professional with deep regional market knowledge to leverage component
expertise, deliver tailored kitting solutions, and manage key client
relationships. Fastener industry experience is strongly preferred, though we
welcome high-performing B2B sales professionals with a proven track record in
the territory. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities Direct
regional outside sales efforts, prospecting and securing new commercial
accounts across Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and potential expansion areas.
Position
industrial fasteners along with value-added kitted product solutions to
meet client operational and assembly requirements.
Manage
accounts through proactive on-site visits, online supplier portal
administration, and direct communication.
Travel
regularly throughout the Midwest territory to build client relationships
and evaluate technical needs.
Lead
market sourcing for RFQs and formulate competitive pricing using corporate
calculation models and standardized workflows.
Collaborate
with leadership on market trends to execute entry strategies into emerging
regional segments.
Negotiate
pricing with suppliers, identify cost-down initiatives, and recommend
kitting strategies to optimize client inventory.
Partner
with Purchasing and Operations on engineering change notices, delivery
schedules, and obsolete inventory management.
Facilitate
cross-departmental communication to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Provide
product and sourcing data to support Advanced Product Quality Planning
(APQP) during new product launches.
Qualifications Required:
Proven
B2B outside sales track record within the Midwest region (KS, MO, NE
preferred).
Strong
regional market knowledge and ability to manage a multi-state territory.
Demonstrated
experience selling into target markets: Agriculture, Industrial,
Construction, or Recreational Vehicles.
Bachelor's
Degree in Business, Sales, Supply Chain, or equivalent professional
industry experience.
Ability
to travel frequently across the assigned geographic territory.
Proficiency
with CRM tools, technical sales software, and core business applications.
Strong
negotiation, account development, and client management skills.
Preferred:
Direct
sales experience within the industrial fasteners industry.
Experience
selling kitting solutions, custom packaging, or bundled supply chain
assemblies.
Prior
experience managing vendor relationships, subcontractor cost-reduction
