This role offers the unique opportunity to work side-by-side with the President to drive customer satisfaction and business growth. The Role - We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented sales professional to work directly with our customers. You won't just be answering phones; you'll be a product expert, a problem solver, and a key contributor to our operational success. This is a key position in our organization and is a springboard to management and/or outside sales.

Key Responsibilities Customer Relations:

Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing expert product recommendations and technical support.

Sales & Growth:

Process incoming orders efficiently while identifying opportunities to upsell and add value to customer purchases.

Technical Support:

Interpret parts lists for small machinery to ensure customers receive the exact components they need.

Executive Collaboration:

Work closely with the President on daily operations and adapt quickly to the shifting needs of a rapidly changing business.

All-Hands Support:

During peak times or slow periods, assist with order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving inventory to keep the warehouse running smoothly.

Travel:

Represent Tait Sales at industry trade shows and events a few times per year.

Required Traits & Skills Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity tool and small equipment sales in or around the concrete/masonry, stone, rental or industrial industries is highly preferred.

Technical Savvy:

Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.

High Energy:

A motivated, "get-it-done" attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Organization:

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball.

Flexibility:

A true team player who is willing to pivot between sales, service, and warehouse tasks as needed. Qualifications College Degree or sales experience of 3+ years at a single company Experience with inside sales, telemarketing, customer service, hospitality, construction tools, and/or small machinery helpful, but not mandatory Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus Must be based in or near Overland Park Kansas , and able to work the required 9-6 schedule.
