We specialize in premium metal roofing systems, wall panels, accessories, and related product lines. Position Overview We are looking for a motivated Sales Representative to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. This is a combined inside/outside sales role — you'll be building relationships with customers both from the office and in the field. We welcome candidates at all experience levels, from entry-level candidates eager to learn the industry to seasoned professionals with established relationships in architectural metal or building materials. What You'll Do Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and builders Handle inbound customer inquiries, quotes, and order processing from the office Make outbound calls and conduct field visits to grow your account base Prepare pricing and help customers Collaborate with internal teams on order fulfillment, inventory, and logistics Stay current on product knowledge across roofing panels, wall systems, accessories, and related materials Support customers through the full sales cycle from bidding to delivery What We're Looking For Experience in building materials, metal roofing, or construction sales is a plus — but not required Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude Self-motivated with the ability to manage both office responsibilities and field activity Comfortable working with pricing, quotes, and basic spreadsheet tools Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable Valid driver's license for field visits Why Oakland Metal Sales Established company with strong supplier relationships and quality product lines Collaborative team environment Competitive compensation — salary, commission structure, or a combination based on experience and fit Opportunity to grow with a company in a specialized, in-demand market
