Position summary The Business Development Representative builds a qualified pipeline for Aria Logistics and My Home Delivery. The representative researches target accounts, reaches the right decision makers, secures discovery meetings, and converts productive conversations into sales accepted opportunities. The role requires consistent outbound work, strong preparation, accurate Pipedrive records, and disciplined follow-through. The representative will pursue enterprise and anchor account opportunities for Aria Logistics while supporting growth of the My Home Delivery marketplace across its existing service footprint. The work will focus on retailers, manufacturers, ecommerce companies, and other organizations that need dependable final-mile delivery for furniture, appliances, mattresses, fitness equipment, and other big-and-bulky products. Primary responsibilities Execute daily outbound prospecting through phone, personalized email, LinkedIn, referrals, events, and other approved channels. Research and activate 100 to 150 accounts each month based on the approved ideal customer profile and target account priorities. Work the Top 12 strategic accounts through written account plans that identify the business case, stakeholders, warm introductions, incumbent providers, and next actions. Qualify each prospect for service fit, geography, delivery volume, business need, decision access, and timing before creating or advancing a Pipedrive deal. Set discovery appointments with relevant decision makers and prepare the Director of Sales Strategy and operational subject matter experts for each meeting. Participate in discovery calls when appropriate, document the customer problem and next step, and help convert the meeting into a sales-accepted opportunity. Support development of solution briefs, proposals, business cases, and follow-up materials under the direction of the Director of Sales Strategy. Maintain ownership and momentum through the commercial process so sourced opportunities progress to a target of two Closed Won deals each month. Maintain complete, current Pipedrive records, including contacts, organizations, activity history, qualification notes, opportunity stage, value, expected close date, and next activity. Reactivate appropriate opportunities from the existing Pipedrive lead and deal inventory and close, nurture, or correct records that no longer represent active pipeline. Coordinate with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Operations, and Customer Experience so outreach reflects actual service capabilities and customer experience standards. Represent Aria Logistics and My Home Delivery professionally at customer meetings, trade events, store visits, and other approved field activities. Qualifications Two or more years of successful business development, inside sales, account development, or related customer-facing experience; Demonstrated ability to create meetings through outbound calls and personalized written outreach; Strong business writing, listening, research and follow-up skills; Comfortable discussing operational issues with managers and senior decision makers; Consistent CRM use and willingness to work within defined stages, qualification standards, activity targets and reporting routines; Ability to organize a large prospect list, prioritize accounts, and manage several follow-up paths without losing detail; Sound judgment, reliability and professional conduct when working independently or on the field; Experience in final mile delivery, logistics, retail, furniture, appliances, e-commerce, transportation technology or related services; Experience with Pipedrive, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sales intelligence tools, and AI-assisted prospect research. This is a full-time position based in New Jersey, with customer travel and field activity as required.
