Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Tanning Sales Consultant to join our vibrant team! In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face guiding clients through their tanning journeys, providing expert advice on various tanning services and products. Your enthusiasm will help create a welcoming environment where customers feel confident and excited about achieving their ideal glow. As a key contributor to our salon's success, you will promote our range of tanning options, upsell products, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assess their tanning needs to recommend suitable services and products Operate a variety of tanning equipment including UV tanning beds, spray tan booths, airbrush systems, and red light therapy devices Apply tanning solutions such as dihydroxyacetone (DHA), erythrulose, tyrosine products, walnut extract, and henna with precision for customized results Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment, including spray tan booths, airbrush systems, and UV beds, following strict hygiene standards Process cash transactions accurately while handling cash register operations and maintaining proper cash handling procedures Upsell additional services or products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales revenue Educate clients on aftercare routines, product usage, and safety precautions for optimal results Qualifications Previous retail store experience or background in the beauty industry is highly preferred Knowledge of spray tan booth operation, airbrush tanning systems, UV beds, and red light therapy devices is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients Experience working with tanning solutions such as DHA, erythrulose, tyrosine products, walnut extract, or henna is desirable Ability to maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in a salon environment Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash accurately Cosmetology or related certifications are advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Join us in creating a lively atmosphere where clients feel confident in their skin!
