A Business Development Specialist identifies new business opportunities and clients for a company, identifies new products, services and lines of business, and develops marketing and sales strategies to help grow a company's business. Collects and manages data on sales and business processes, does market research, and stays informed of industry trends and dynamics. Builds customer relationships and partnerships. Reports to a Business Development Manager or Director.

Job Description
- Represent Ben E. Keith with professionalism, maintain a positive attitude and follow dress code
- Assist in developing and executing a new sales and marketing plan in order to generate new business
- Prepare written and verbal sales proposals, presentations and reports
- Conduct product sampling and cuttings for current and prospective customers
- Negotiate programs and work with DSR's to identify & prospect targeted accounts
- Must have an expert understanding of the sales process and a collaborative relationship with sales, marketing, purchasing and operations
- Develop and profitably promote menu design to BEK Sales Representatives, Purchasing and customers
- Assist DSM's and DSR's in the sales and marketing of Ben E. Keith products and services
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Qualifications:
Ability to write reports, correspondence and communications. Ability to effectively present information to vendors and employees in a written and/or verbal format- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments and tasks, monitoring use of time and appropriately using equipment, facilities and materials to provide timely and quality responses
- Ability to learn and use all Ben E. Keith applications
- Previous experience in a sales related field is preferred
- Knowledge of and ability to competently use MS Office, internet and e-mail; willingness to learn new software as needed
- Valid Texas driver's license is required for driving to perform company business
