Basic department cleaning upkeep. Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers. Organize items on shelves, remove expired products from displays, and assist shoppers in their daily needs. May perform other duties as assigned or required.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Produce Clerk, you will provide product suggestions and assist customers with any questions. You will stock cases and ensure that our customers have a variety of high-quality produce items to choose from. You will ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work. You will clean and sanitize produce department areas, preparation areas, and equipment periodically.Responsibilities:
Greeting and building rapport with customers. Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language. Respond to customer questions in an effective manner. Stock products and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards. Process deliveries, breaking load down onto stock carts or pallets and then transferring to the sales floor. Comply with Company policies on freshness dating and safety procedures. Maintain clean work areas by consolidating and organizing the product.Basic department cleaning upkeep.
