Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Warehouse Returns Lead oversees and leads the return process in the warehouse, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of returned goods. This role is responsible for supervising the returns team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and collaborating with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the returns team. Train, mentor, and support team members in proper return handling procedures such as donations, scrap and other items. Person of contact and responsible of communicating and coordinating with other departments to resolve discrepancies or customer issues. Understand warehouse logistics and support daily operations when needed.
Returns Processing:
Oversee the inspection, verification, and documentation of returned items. Ensure accurate recording of returned inventory in the warehouse management system (WMS) Netsuite. Classify returned items as donations, resellable, defective, or requiring disposal based on company guidelines. Daily Returns palletizing is done at the end of each day and shoe counts are accurate and matches with paperwork. Ensure correct execution of item treatments upon received. Other duties as assigned
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for returned items. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with return and inventory policies. Work with the inventory team to restock resellable items efficiently.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety standards and ensure team compliance with company policies. Adhere to regulatory requirements for returned goods, including hazardous materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace for the returns team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus. 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations is required, with a focus on returns or inventory management (preferred). Previous supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory software, such as Netsuite. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. May require early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

frequent bending, lifting, squatting and standing.
