Enterprise Reactive Problem Management Leadership:
Leads an enterprise-wide Reactive Problem Management function covering the full application portfolio; accountable for consistent execution, quality, and outcomes of post-incident problem investigations.Root Cause Determination & Quality Control:
Ensures problems reach true root cause (not symptoms) using structured analysis and evidence-based conclusions; sets quality standards for problem records, timelines, and closure criteria.Action Item Ownership & Follow-Through:
Creates, assigns, and rigorously tracks corrective and preventive Action Items, driving cross-team accountability through completion and validating effectiveness in reducing recurrence and improving resiliency. Cross-Functional Orchestration (Post-Incident): Partners with application, platform, infrastructure, network, security, and operations teams after service restoration to coordinate investigations, remove blockers, and align on remediation plans.Operational Outcomes Focus:
Drives measurable improvement in resiliency, reduction in customer disruption, and reduced MTTR through elimination of repeat incidents, improved detection/diagnostics, and better operational readiness.Prioritization Through Influence:
Uses impact, recurrence, and risk to influence engineering and platform backlogs, ensuring the highest-value remediation work is prioritized and delivered without direct change/governance ownership.Executive Communication & Transparency:
Produces clear, executive-ready summaries of root cause, contributing factors, risk exposure, remediation progress, and expected impact; escalates when commitments or timelines are at risk.Performance Management & Coaching:
Manages and develops a team of 7-10 Problem Managers/analysts; coaches structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, and crisp documentation; sets expectations for pace, rigor, and accountability. Governance of theProblem Lifecycle:
Establishes and maintains standard operating practices for intake, severity/priority, aging management, escalation, and closure; ensures consistency across business units and application teams. Continuous Improvement fromTrends:
Identifies systemic patterns across incidents and problems, recommends enterprise-level resiliency improvements, and drives preventative initiatives based on trend and impact analysis. What you'll bring: As an Associate Director-Technology II, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of IT professionals ensuring the development, delivery, and optimization of IT operations across various technical sub-families to align with organizational goals and drive innovation. Sub-family areas are Agile, Software Design and Delivery, Tech Business Support for IT orgs, Database, Systems Architecture and Engineering, Systems Technical Support, and Software Delivery Project/Program Management. (If the organization or direct reports are Network focused then the Network supervisory jobs should be used.) Oversee operational aspects of the department, focusing on the day-to-day management of related initiatives. This role is primarily concerned with the implementation and execution of strategies developed by higher management. Typically leads entry-level and career-level staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates. What you'll need:Required Experience:
