PART I:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Enterprise Technician is a centrally assigned member of the Enterprise Technology team within the Technology and Innovation Department. This position supports district technology operations by coordinating technology processes, purchasing, intake, inventory, reconciliation, specialized device programs, and large-scale deployments. The Enterprise Technician ensures technology equipment is properly ordered, received, documented, configured, deployed, maintained, reconciled, and retired throughout its lifecycle. The Enterprise Technician provides technical support to District Departments and collaborates with Enterprise Specialists to support the district. This position collaborates with Finance, Special Education, technology staff, district leadership, and vendors to maintain accurate records, resolve operational issues, and ensure consistent and efficient technology services across the district
PART II:
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES A. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelors in a technology related field preferred One (1) year of experience in information technology or educational technology support is preferred.
B. CREDENTIALS
Relevant certifications in technology support, IT management, or mobile device management preferred (e.g. CompTIA A+, Jamf Certifications). Training or experience related to inventory management, asset management, purchasing systems, or enterprise service-management platforms is preferred. Certifications or badges related to educational or instructional technology are a plus (e.g. Edpuzzle, Nearpod, Seesaw).
C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to provide timely and professional customer service in a technical support environment. Working knowledge of computing devices, mobile devices, software, peripherals, and enterprise technology systems. Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve routine issues and appropriately escalate complex problems. Knowledge of purchasing, purchase-order, receiving, and reconciliation processes. Knowledge of technology inventory, asset management, and equipment-lifecycle practices. Familiarity with mobile device management systems used to enroll devices and configure applications, settings, restrictions, and profiles. Ability to coordinate equipment intake, staging, storage, deployment, transfer, recovery, and disposition. Familiarity with help desk, inventory, purchasing, and device-management systems. Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with District Departments, Finance, Special Education, technology staff, and vendors. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to appropriately handle confidential information.

ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
The following identifies the primary and essential functions of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of all duties. Provide technical support to District Departments by responding to service tickets, calls, emails, and in-person requests for assistance. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, peripheral, mobile-device, network-access, and enterprise-system issues, escalating complex problems as appropriate. Manage assigned support tickets by documenting work performed, communicating status updates, and ensuring timely resolution or escalation in accordance with established service expectations. Install, configure, deploy, maintain, and support computing devices, applications, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other technology equipment used by District Departments. Coordinate the intake and triage of technology requests, equipment needs, deliveries, returns, repairs, and other work assigned to the Enterprise Technology team. Create, process, submit, and track technology purchase orders, including maintaining required quotes, requisitions, approvals, and supporting documentation. Receive and inspect incoming technology shipments and verify equipment, quantities, serial numbers, and condition against purchase orders and packing documentation. Coordinate with vendors regarding quotes, order status, backorders, shipping discrepancies, damaged equipment, returns, warranty claims, replacements, and credits. Collaborate with Finance to reconcile purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, credits, shipments, and technology asset records and resolve identified discrepancies. Maintain accurate inventory and asset records for district technology equipment, including serial numbers, asset tags, locations, assignments, warranties, repair history, lifecycle status, and disposition. Coordinate equipment check-in, check-out, assignment, transfer, recovery, replacement, surplus, and disposal processes. Maintain organized and secure receiving, inventory, storage, staging, loaner, spare-equipment, and parts areas and assist with physical inventories and audits. Coordinate the configuration, inventory, deployment, support, repair, replacement, recovery, and lifecycle management of Special Education devices, including required applications, accessibility settings, restrictions, security controls, and device-management profiles. Coordinate the activation, configuration, assignment, support, recovery, replacement, and deactivation of district MiFi and mobile hotspot devices and maintain associated inventory and service records. Support large-scale technology deployments by receiving, preparing, enrolling, configuring, updating, labeling, staging, distributing, and reconciling devices and equipment. Provide centralized support to building-based technicians with replacement of equipment, parts, inventory corrections, device transfers, enterprise processes, and deployment activities. Follow, document, and assist with continuously improving enterprise technology processes, procedures, workflows, checklists, service records, and operational reports. Collaborate with District Departments, Finance, Special Education, technology staff, and vendors to coordinate work and ensure compliance with district purchasing, inventory, security, confidentiality, and technology procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Attend both initial and on-going training or certification programing as necessary, while following all district travel and reimbursement protocols. This will be paid per the collective bargaining agreement. Due to the training and professional development involved in this position, voluntarily leaving this position in 5 years or less will require repayment of the cost of training or programming as outlined below: Year 1
  • 90% of the cost of training will be repaid. Year 2
  • 70% of the cost of training will be repaid. Year 3
  • 50% of the cost of training will be repaid. Year 4
  • 30% of the cost of training will be repaid Year 5
  • 10% of the cost of training will be repaid
