Technology Governance LeadLocation:

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Onsite) Role OverviewThis role will support a newly established function focused on improving governance, visibility, and risk management across a large and complex technology change portfolio. The individual will help build and operationalize a change radar that brings together near-term and long-term technology initiatives, resiliency activities, data migrations, and deployment schedules. The goal is to provide an integrated view of planned change and apply a risk lens to identify potential conflicts and dependencies. Key ResponsibilitiesHelp build and operationalize governance, operating models, and execution frameworks for a new technology change and investment portfolio function.



Develop and maintain an integrated change radar across technology initiatives, including resiliency activities and data migrations.



Consolidate multiple schedules and information sources to create a unified view of technology change.



Apply a risk and governance lens to planned technology activities to identify potential conflicts and dependencies.



Establish repeatable processes and operating routines to move the function into sustainable ongoing operations.



Analyze portfolio and technology data to develop actionable insights for leadership decision-making.



Create executive-level presentations, reporting, and decision-support materials.



Partner across technology and business functions to establish governance, influence stakeholders, and drive execution.



Use generative AI tools, such as Copilot, to support analysis, workflow development, and process design.



Support broader technology strategy, portfolio governance, and organizational effectiveness activities as the function evolves.



Required Qualifications7+ years of Information Technology experience in support of Business Services, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, or military experience.



Experience building and operationalizing governance, operating models, or execution frameworks within large, complex organizations.



Experience with technology governance, portfolio management, strategy execution, or technology project and program environments.



Demonstrated ability to establish repeatable processes and manage ongoing operations in evolving environments.



Working knowledge of technology change management frameworks.



Strong understanding of risk management and the ability to use data to identify technology-related risks.



Experience performing complex data analysis and creating executive communication and reporting materials.



Hands-on familiarity with generative AI, particularly prompting and using tools such as Copilot.



Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and influence stakeholders across functions.



Strong skills with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.



Preferred QualificationsExperience working within financial services or another large, complex organization.



Previous experience within a technology strategy, technology governance, portfolio management, command center, or technology risk function.



Technical or engineering experience that provides a strong understanding of technology environments is beneficial.



Experience with JIRA and Confluence.



Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting tools or functions.



Experience supporting solution delivery and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
