Saturday Occupational Therapist WORK WITH HORSES

Looking for occupational therapists interested in hippo therapy (therapy on horseback). We will train you! Horse experience is a plus but not required. We have a unique hippo therapy program and are looking for interested occupational therapists to join our team and help us expand our hippo therapy program. This is a part time Saturday position which would allow occupational therapists with current positions to explore the world of hippo therapy while keeping there current job. This position could work into more if the occupational therapist was interested. Job Requirements Oregon occupational therapy license An interest in providing hippo therapy (therapy on horseback) in a pediatric therapy setting Horse experience a plus but not required - we will train Pediatric therapy experience a plus but not required -we will train Provide therapy in nature, on our large outdoor play structure, shooting hoops outside, riding around our tricycle trail or working on therapy goals in the garden. Year round we offer hippo therapy (therapy on horseback) in our indoor heated arena, providing quality treatment in a unique and fun environment. We often provide therapy in a co-treating situation. We provide a supportive environment for our therapists and we enjoy collaborating and working as a team to provide the best possible treatment to our clients. Treatment may take place in one of our several indoor treatment rooms equipped with swings, a rock wall, mini trampolines and other therapeutic equipment. Or Therapy may involve outdoor activities such as the use of our large play structure, riding vehicles on our outdoor pathway, gardening or one of the highlights of our program hippotherapy (therapy on horseback). We also feature a full kitchen that allows us to address activities of daily living involving food preparation. Our therapists enjoy using their creativity and expertise to enhance each client's treatment program. Occupational Therapy integrating approaches such as animal assisted therapy, gardening, art, hippotherapy (therapy on horseback), cooking, preparing meals, setting the table, eating, doing dishes, in our full kitchen to address activities of daily living
