Saw Filer - U-CUT Team (Jamesville, NY) B&B Lumber Company is seeking a skilled and dependable Saw Filer to join our U-CUT saw services team . This is a critical, hands-on role supporting production quality, uptime, and safety across our operations. Primary Responsibilities File, sharpen, align, and maintain saws to exacting standards Set up and operate grinders and band saws Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all related equipment Operate basic hand tools and acetylene torches safely and effectively Maintain clear, accurate clerical notes on daily saw performance Support continuous improvement in saw performance and equipment reliability Skills & Qualities We Value Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship Strong verbal and written communication skills Reliability is essential — consistent attendance and punctuality are non-negotiable High personal integrity, accountability, and pride in your work Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-first environment Physical & Job Requirements This is a labor-intensive, fast-paced position .
