Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role as a dedicated Physical Therapist supporting students' growth and development in a school-based setting for the 26/27 academic year. In this position, you'll provide tailored physical therapy services in a collaborative educational environment. Your expertise will help young learners overcome physical barriers, enhance mobility, and fully participate in school activities. You'll become a valued advocate for student wellness and achievement.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Experience delivering PT services within a school or pediatric setting Familiarity with IEP development and implementation Strong assessment and documentation skills Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Adaptable and compassionate approach, with dedication to helping students achieve their goals
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough evaluations to determine students' physical therapy needs Develop, document, and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs Work one-on-one and in small groups to deliver evidence-based PT interventions Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy into daily routines Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust treatments as needed Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development This contract role enables you to make an impact in the educational journey of children near Thomasville, NC, while collaborating with a supportive and knowledgeable staff.
