School-Based SLP | Spanaway, Washington Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Spanaway, WA Job Details Full-time | Contract $40 - $85 an hour Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting students' communication growth in a positive, collaborative environment. Skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY) are needed for full-time, onsite roles serving K-12 students across diverse schools. This contract position spans the academic year (September-June), offering a caseload that does not exceed 50 students. You'll enjoy a varied day engaging with children of different ages and backgrounds, as well as the support of a multidisciplinary team. Whether you are seasoned or a newer clinician, your expertise will directly impact students' ability to learn, connect, and thrive.
Desired credentials and qualifications:
Valid Washington SLP license and ESA Certification Experience or strong interest in school-based settings (preschool through 12th grade) Familiarity with assessment, intervention, and IEP development Ability to manage documentation for compliance and reporting, including IEPs and Medicaid Confidence working collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families Enthusiasm for supporting inclusive learning, professional development, and prevention initiatives SLP-CFY applicants encouraged; supervision can be discussed during the interview Key responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments Developing and implementing IEPs and planning interventions Providing direct and consultative therapy addressing a range of needs (articulation, fluency, language, social communication) Collaborating with teachers and staff to optimize classroom supports Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with state and federal guidelines Managing a dynamic caseload efficiently across assigned schools and grade levels District interviews are being scheduled quickly, with offers extended promptly after.
