Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on an exciting opportunity to provide essential Occupational Therapy services within a vibrant school setting in the Anoka area. This contract position is designed to offer maternity leave coverage for the upcoming school year, supporting students' access to learning and engagement in daily school activities. With a focus on four high schools, you'll make a daily difference while collaborating with dedicated educators and support staff.
Key Qualifications:
Current Minnesota Occupational Therapy license required and must be submitted with your resume for presentation Previous experience working as an OT in schools, particularly at the high school level, is highly valued Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration Comfort and reliability in covering a maternity leave position Ability to manage a school-based caseload independently
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative OT services to high school students, supporting IEP goals and engagement in educational routines Conduct assessments and create individualized intervention plans based on student needs Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Support inclusive practices, adaptive strategies, and classroom modifications as needed This full-time contract runs approximately from early September 2026 through early February 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule and a daily commitment aligning with standard school hours.
