Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a School Occupational Therapist for the entire 2026-2027 academic year in beautiful Poulsbo, WA. This full-time role begins August 31, 2026, and extends through June 17, 2027, supporting students within a vibrant and welcoming community. Multiple Occupational Therapists are needed to serve a caseload of approximately 34 students across various school sites (final assignment details to be determined). Applicants must hold an active Washington Occupational Therapy license and Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification to be considered for this opportunity, which centers on in-person service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Washington State Occupational Therapy license Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification (required) Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience strongly preferred Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families Outstanding communication and organizational skills Passion for supporting students in achieving their educational goals
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative OT services to students as indicated by IEPs and referrals Assess, plan, implement, and document individualized intervention programs Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student success Participate in eligibility determinations, IEPs, and team meetings Educate and support school personnel and caregivers on strategies to enhance student outcomes Maintain thorough, timely records in compliance with school district and state guidelines This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking a fulfilling school-based OT assignment, working closely with a dedicated educational team.
