Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a real impact supporting students in a full-time, contract role as a School Psychologist serving K-12 students through the entire school year. This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to contribute to student well-being and success in North Las Vegas, NV, and requires expertise in school psychology practices within educational settings.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution Current and valid certification or license as a School Psychologist in Nevada (or eligible for reciprocity) Previous experience supporting K-12 students in school settings strongly preferred Skilled in conducting psychoeducational assessments, interpreting data, and creating effective intervention strategies Excellent ability to collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student learning and mental health Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students referred for academic, social-emotional, or behavioral concerns Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and individualized education programs (IEPs) Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering recommendations and psychological expertise Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support as needed to students and staff Serve as a resource to staff and families on matters related to mental health, special education, and student development Maintain meticulous documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
