Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a school psychologist, serving students in either a junior high (grades 7-8) or K-4 elementary setting for the 2026-27 school year. This backfill position offers an engaging environment where your expertise can profoundly impact students' academic, emotional, and social success. The assignment is anticipated to begin around mid-August 2026 and run through early June 2027, totaling approximately 35 hours each week. Preferred candidates bring a thorough understanding of IDEA, Illinois educational rules, and the MTSS process. You'll play a vital role in supporting special education compliance, facilitating efficient evaluations, and guiding students and teams through manifestation determinations and domain meetings.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Illinois school psychologist credential (or eligibility) Knowledge of federal and Illinois special education laws, evaluation timelines, and procedures Experience with the MTSS framework, IEPs, 504s, and related documentation Proficiency in managing and facilitating domain meetings, EDCs, and ARs Skilled with assessment/record systems such as Q-global and FastBridge Familiarity with Google Docs for documentation and collaboration
