Job Description
Description Discovery In Vitro Screening Team (DMPK) Chemistry lab work but the theory is more biology. In-vitro works all with test tubes. End product is data. Trying to find trends in the study like trends against the biological samples. Research Assistants will work with biological samples like plasma, blood, urine, feces and etc. Will be both animal and human samples. In this role, the candidate will be cross trained on both the biology and chemistry side of the business. If they come with biology/cell culture experience, they will start there or if they come with chemistry/wet chemistry experience, they will start there. Chemistry side, will run the following: Support in life team and process samples by running basic wet chemistry techniques like pipetting, plate reader, liquid handlers, and centrifuge. Will be running stability assays, protein binding assays and enzyme inhibition assays Will operate Mass Spec and LC-MS, doing extractions and running own samples run radio reader compounds Biology side: Cell culture is the focus/mammalian cell culture Maintain cell lines and grow cell lines to get ready for assays
- will be working with various cell lines cell counting sterile technique Seeding cells onto assay plates Harvesting plates Running extractions The work is like an Animal study
- someone prepares the dose
- someone administers the dose in the animal
- take blood samples based on time points
- extracting samples and those samples get sent for analysis. This individual will handle the animal study all in test tubes (not animal or clinical setting). Will be using a cell line, blood or plasma. Will be doing studies from start to finish. Very variable day-to-day
- looking at data one day and then running tests the other Plating

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.87- $43.27/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
