Job Description
Job Summary Perform chemical cleanings of Chilled Water Systems. This position will focus primarily on cleaning and passivating Chilled Water Coil/ Air Handler systems while helping with other projects involving water chemistry as it applies to water systems used in HVAC/Steam Production/Cooling Towers etc. Responsibilities Prepare, measure, and mix chemical agents following established manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines. Handle industrial chemicals with precision, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with regulatory/legal compliance standards. Maintain accurate documentation of chemical usage, batch records, and safety logs to support regulatory audits and quality assurance processes. Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including machining tools and material handling devices, to ensure optimal performance and safety adherence. Follow strict safety protocols by utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, and other safety measures during chemical handling and manufacturing activities. Support laboratory testing procedures when necessary, including basic math calculations for measurements and quality assessments. Schedule and corredinate work and building shut downs with mechanical contractors and facility managers You will be required to record data and produce written service reports. Transport pumping skid and chemical setup on and off site. Transportation vehicle will be provided. Qualifications Degree in, or current student of, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. We will also consider current students of any associated science engineering. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, maintenance, an troubleshooting within a manufacturing setting. Strong understanding of safety protocols including PPE usage, respiratory protection, and chemical agent handling procedures. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording essential for quality control processes. Ability to lift 40lbs over head. Able to work excel and word documents. Able to create and edit service report exports from excel.
