Performs theoretical and experimental scientific and technological investigation directed toward the acquisition of new knowledge. Prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results, including technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses. Identifies, assesses and develops new scientific concepts/technologies in basic or applied research with significant business impact. Documents research leading to patent disclosure or technical and/or scientific advancement.

Requirements:

Must Have PhD Degreein Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines Must have at least 5 years of industrial experience in Product Development formulating and testing functional adhesives for electrical conductivity and/or thermal management applications Extensive hands-on experience working with nanomaterial dispersions and related systems including process development, characterization, testing and evaluation Practical experience in formulating thermal or UV curable composite functional coatings Solid background in polymer structure-property relationships and in polymer/electrical characterization, testing, and evaluation techniques Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary global team Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Commitment to safety

Design, plan, and carry out experiments to develop formulations, processes, and manufacturing methodologies to improve product performance Prepare samples of optimized formulations for customer testing.
