The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting biologics discovery and lead optimization efforts by characterizing protein therapeutic candidates, including highly engineered biotherapeutic formats. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the advancement of innovative therapeutic programs while leveraging high-throughput technologies, automation, and modern analytical platforms. The ideal candidate is scientifically curious, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a strong commitment to data quality, reproducibility, and collaborative problem-solving. Experience working in electronic laboratory environments and managing analytical data is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical characterization of proteins using a broad suite of methods, including: o Analytical size exclusion chromatography (anSEC) o Hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) o Reverse-phase chromatography (RP-HPLC) o
SDS-PAGE
o CE-SDS o cIEF o Endotoxin analysis
- Maintain and operate analytical instrumentation to support protein characterization workflows.
- Generate high-quality analytical data and contribute to comprehensive characterization packages supporting hit identification, lead selection, and candidate optimization.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate results clearly through data reports, presentations, and electronic data management systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including method development, implementation of automation, workflow optimization, and enhanced laboratory efficiency. Qualifications Required
- B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant industry or academic laboratory experience.
- Experience with common protein analytical techniques, including: o anSEC o HIC o

o CE-SDS o cIEF o Spectrophotometric methods o Endotoxin testing
- Hands-on experience with Agilent HPLC systems and Agilent OpenLab CDS software for chromatographic data acquisition and analysis.
- Strong attention to detail, scientific rigor, and data integrity.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and persistence in solving technical challenges. Preferred
- Experience with LIMS, electronic laboratory notebooks, and digital data management systems.
- Experience with AKTA purification systems and protein purification workflows.
- Familiarity with mammalian cell culture and sterile laboratory techniques.
- Exposure to laboratory automation platforms and automated analytical workflows.
