An Environmental Technician assists with testing and sampling or monitoring needed for environmental clean-up efforts or projects to mitigate environmental pollution. Assists environmental engineers or environmental scientists. Collects air, water or soil samples, operates field test equipment and conducts laboratory research. Coordinates work at sites with contaminated soil or water, or hazardous waste clean-up sites.

Job Summary:
Environmental Tech is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility. This position is also responsible for removal of a regular wasted and medical waste alone with boxes and the disposal of equipment and furniture.
Environmental Technician Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred. Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred. Must be able to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment Effective communication skills This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.
