Role:

Develop and implement individualized wound care plans for patients with complex wounds Conduct routine wound assessments and document findings accurately Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to prevent and manage infections, ensuring optimal patient outcomes Provide education to patients, families, and staff on wound care and infection prevention best practices Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Responsibilities:

Conduct wound care treatments, including debridement, dressing changes, and compression therapy Develop and implement infection prevention strategies, including antibiotic stewardship and hand hygiene promotion Participate in code brown and emergency response situations as needed Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, treatments, and outcomes Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care and infection prevention Strong knowledge of wound care and infection prevention principles and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
