In this role, you will play a vital part in advancing scientific understanding through rigorous laboratory experiments, data analysis, and collaborative research efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in molecular biology,immunology and cancer biology, cell culture, and bioinformatics, coupled with excellent documentation skills and a passion for medical and clinical research. Duties Conduct laboratory experiments utilizing tissue culture, mammalian cell culture, transfection, and immunological techniques such as ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry, and microscopy Perform molecular biology procedures including PCR, protein purification, chromatography, and Western blot analysis Manage in vivo studies and animal physiology experiments following FDA regulations and ethical guidelines Analyze complex bioinformatics data sets using R, Python, SAS, and other statistical tools to interpret research findings Review research documentation meticulously to ensure accuracy and compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and HIPAA standards Support clinical trials by monitoring patient data, assisting with patient monitoring activities, and ensuring adherence to clinical research protocols Contribute to the design of experiments, maintain detailed laboratory records, and assist in preparing research publications for peer-reviewed journals Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop research proposals and secure grant funding for ongoing projects Experience Proven laboratory research experience in cell & molecular biology techniques within an academic or clinical setting Hands-on expertise in tissue culture, protein purification, ELISA assays, PCR, flow cytometry, Western blotting, chromatography, and microscopy Familiarity with in vivo animal studies and physiology is highly desirable Proficiency in bioinformatics data analysis using R or Python; experience with SAS is a plus Knowledge of FDA regulations related to clinical trials and medical research standards such as GCP and HIPAA compliance Strong documentation review skills ensuring accuracy in research records and regulatory submissions Experience publishing scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced research environment This paid Research Associate position is perfect for individuals eager to advance their careers in biomedical research while contributing meaningful insights into health sciences.
