A Research and Development Manager is responsible for day-to-day management their organization's research and development department(s). Responsible for ensuring that the department meet the organization's objectives for researching and developing new products or technologies and improve existing products.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this R D Manager position include: 3+ years of experience in a new product development environment, manufacturing environment, or related field. Plans, directs, and coordinates designated project activities to ensure goals are accomplished within time frame and funding parameters. Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allotment. Establishes work plans and staffing for each phase, arranging recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Directs and coordinates project personnel to ensure progress on schedule and within budget; reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required. Confers with project staff to provide technical advice, resolve problems, and ensure customer/project requirements are understood and documented. Prepares project reports for management, clients, or others; holds customer meetings and manages customer communications. Defines and documents product/engineering specifications and other project deliverables; develops and optimizes designs or processes for implants and catheter-based systems.
Salary:
$100,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
