Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Park Manager, this position performs husbandry duties and handling of the Ambassador Animal collection, schedules and conducts interpretive programs, scripted and informal shows, and recreational activities for park visitors and guests at Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge. To perform the job successfully, an individual should perform the following essential functions of the position: Daily husbandry duties including but not limited to cleaning, diet prep, feeding, enrichment, training, handling, and basic veterinary care of the animal collection (including raptors and reptiles) Maintaining records in the animal care log Scheduling of programs and activities Performing educational programs for field trips, outreaches, and informal meet-and-greets Creating and implementing a diverse and ongoing series of educational programs, workshops, and special events for the Park Provides world class guest service in accordance with established guidelines and standards Works closely and professionally with the Assistant Park Manager to ensure visitor and guest satisfaction Provides a safe and sanitary environment for visitors, guests, and employees
