Bob Johnson CDJR Avon Service Manager Avon, NY | Full-Time | Automotive Dealership Leadership Bob Johnson CDJR Avon is looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our busy service department. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong dealership service experience who understands fixed operations, can motivate a team, and is committed to customer satisfaction, efficiency, and profitability. The Service Manager will oversee daily service department operations, including service advisors, technicians, workflow, customer communication, repair order quality, productivity, and overall department performance. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can create structure, support employees, and help drive growth in a fast-paced dealership environment. Key Responsibilities Manage daily service department operations, workflow, scheduling, and shop productivity. Lead, coach, and support service advisors, technicians, and department staff. Monitor repair orders, technician efficiency, labor hours, customer wait times, and service gross profit goals. Maintain strong customer satisfaction by ensuring timely communication and professional resolution of customer concerns. Partner with parts, sales, warranty, and administrative teams to keep communication and processes running smoothly. Review department performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, and employee accountability. Ensure manufacturer, warranty, safety, and dealership policies are followed consistently. Support technician growth through training, feedback, and performance management. Maintain a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment. Qualifications Previous automotive service management experience strongly preferred. CDJR dealership experience is a plus; Ford, GM, or import dealership experience will also be considered. Strong understanding of fixed operations, warranty, dispatching, repair order processes, and customer service standards. Ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable in a high-volume dealership environment. Excellent communication, problem-solving, organization, and follow-through skills. Comfortable reviewing department performance, labor sales, gross profit, and productivity goals. Valid driver's license required. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience.
