Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dependable Shift Closer to join our fast-paced food service team. As a Shift Closer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient closing of our restaurant, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer service. Duties Safely close the restaurant at the end of each shift, including securing all areas and completing necessary closing procedures Prepare food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring freshness and presentation Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for cash handling, order processing, and sales reconciliation Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling, balancing registers, and preparing bank deposits Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning kitchen equipment, dining areas, and food prep stations in compliance with food safety regulations Assist with food prep tasks like chopping ingredients, assembling orders, and restocking supplies to support ongoing operations Support team members with customer service by addressing guest needs professionally and efficiently during closing hours Complete shift reports, inventory checks, and sanitation logs to ensure operational readiness for the next day Skills Proven experience in food preparation within a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and reporting Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food handling safety standards Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy closing hours Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities Experience in cashiering, cash handling, and basic math for register balancing Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety protocols, and proper bussing techniques Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest satisfaction Kitchen experience or café background preferred; retail math or grocery store experience is a plus Join our team as a Shift Closer if you're passionate about delivering great food experiences while working in a lively environment.
