MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Support and coordinate production activities during assigned shifts to ensure safe operations, efficient workflow, and the production of quality products that meet internal standards and customer requirements. This role provides day-to-day leadership to production associates and ensures alignment with production schedules and operational priorities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, motivate, and assign work to production associates to achieve productivity and efficiency targets. Allocate tasks based on production priorities, staffing levels, and equipment availability. Support production reporting and data accuracy through use of manufacturing systems (e.g., MRP or equivalent systems). Ensure required materials are available to support uninterrupted production flow. Verify that operator training requirements are met and appropriate documentation is maintained to confirm competency. Ensure all manufactured products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications. Perform first-piece and last-piece verification activities for assigned production areas. Ensure final inspection requirements are completed and all documentation is accurate prior to shipment. Promote and enforce compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures. Provide coverage for shift supervision duties in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
GENERAL:
Complete all required administrative and production reporting tasks accurately and on time. Actively participate in continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives. Support efforts to reduce defects and non-conforming product. Ensure adherence to all health and safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture. Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and operational standards.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Division Manager. Provides day-to-day leadership to production associates and works closely with support staff and management across functions.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Fully trained in applicable company policies, procedures, and production standards. Proven ability to operate equipment within assigned production areas. Working knowledge of quality measuring tools and gauges. Ability to perform minor equipment adjustments, repairs, and changeovers as required. Completion of leadership training or willingness to attend approved leadership development programs.
ATTENDANCE
Full-time attendance is required. Consistent attendance standards must be maintained in line with operational requirements.
TRAVEL:
Occasional travel may be required for training, supplier or customer visits, which may include overnight stays.
PHYSICAL / AGILITY REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and move tools, equipment, and production materials up to approximately 30 lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods (8-10 hours), and perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Frequent walking and climbing may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fluctuating temperatures, concrete flooring, and industrial substances such as oils and coolants. Work may involve coordination within team-based production settings.
Pay:
$25.00 - $26.00 per hour
