Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Temp-to-hire position located in Elk Grove Village, IL!

Hours:

8am-4:40pm, Monday-Friday. Responsibilities Process and prepare shipments, including labeling, packing, and verifying order accuracy. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, load, and unload materials. Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments. Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records using warehouse management systems. Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and warehouse regulations. Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits as needed. Perform general warehouse duties, including keeping the shipping area clean and organized. Requirements Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk, Warehouse Associate, or similar role. Forklift certification or experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Proficiency in shipping software (UPS, FedEx, or other freight carriers preferred). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing shipments. Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
