9649456-60564 Job Description Bring your expertise in sign language to a dynamic role supporting students in an educational setting near Naperville, IL. This full-time contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the current school year. Work Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, directly impacting the learning experiences of students who require sign language interpretationespecially for a student who may have behavioral needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter Experience working in schools or educational environments is preferred Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Ability to manage and support students with behavioral challenges Strong communication and interpersonal skills Adaptability and patience to work in a school setting Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Responsibilities:

Provide real-time sign language interpretation during classroom activities, school events, and one-on-one interactions Facilitate clear communication between the student, teachers, and peers Assist with classroom participation, ensuring the student has access to all educational content Support student engagement and encourage positive behaviors Collaborate closely with staff to develop strategies for supporting the students unique needs Participate in team meetings as needed to discuss the students progress Implement and follow plans specific to the behavioral and educational needs of the student This opportunity offers a chance to develop meaningful relationships and positively impact student success.
