The vision of the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition (GNHCC) is to ensure that all residents of Newark, East Orange, and Irvington have a fair and just opportunity to achieve their highest level of health. As one of New Jersey's four not‑for‑profit Regional Health Hubs (RHHs), GNHCC collaborates with clinical and social service partners to improve care coordination and health outcomes for Medicaid beneficiaries. To advance this vision and fulfill its role as anRHH, GNHCC
carries out four core functions: convening community stakeholders, collecting and analyzing data, piloting innovative programs, and advancing advocacy and policy.Position Summary :
The Program Manager for Policy and Advocacy will lead efforts to advance GNHCC's policy agenda and advocacy initiatives. This role focuses on managing the Legal & Advocacy Committee, conducting policy research, and developing organizational positions that promote equitable health outcomes. The Program Manager will serve as a key liaison between GNHCC, community stakeholders, and policymakers.Key Responsibilities Policy & Advocacy :
Manage and staff the Legal & Advocacy Committee to ensure effective engagement. Conduct policy research and analysis to inform organizational positions and advocacy strategies. Draft policy briefs, position statements, and recommendations in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to GNHCC's mission and priorities at the local, regional, state and federal levels. Coordinate advocacy campaigns and community mobilization efforts to influence policy change. Prepare reports and presentations on policy initiatives for leadership, board, and external partners.Core Competencies:

- Skilled in setting measurable objectives for advocacy campaigns and tracking outcomes.

- Expertise with interpreting health equity data to inform advocacy positions.
- Ability to craft persuasive messages and presentations lead to stakeholder buy-in and policy adoption.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with clear timelines, deliverables, and deadlines effectively.
