Job Description

Harnett County Schools is conducting interviews for open School Counselor positions for the current school year. North Carolina license in school counseling preferred, but to be issued a Provisional License the applicant must: (A) Be enrolled in an accredited school counselor program and have completed a minimum of 24 graduate semester hours of that program with completion of remaining requirements within three years; or have completed a master's degree in addiction counseling, career counseling, clinical mental health counseling, clinical rehabilitation counseling, college counseling and student affairs, marriage counseling, couple counseling, family counseling, or rehabilitation counseling from a regionally accredited college or university and be enrolled in an accredited school counselor program to complete additional master's level courses needed to add school counseling specialization with completion or remaining requirements within three years. (B) Submit official degree dated transcripts to document verification of a bachelor's degree (C) Be employed by a NC school system
