Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible School Behavior Interventionist for the 2026-2027 school year to provide behavioral and social-emotional support in the classroom setting. The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure and uses proactive and responsive strategies to help students succeed throughout the school day. Responsibilities Support students during periods of behavioral escalation using effective de-escalation and regulation strategies. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success. Assist with classroom behavior management and promote positive student engagement. Implement behavior interventions and follow Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as appropriate. Maintain documentation and progress monitoring as needed. Make quick, informed decisions to support student safety and well-being. Foster student independence, self-regulation, and positive participation in the school environment. Required Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral sciences, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience supporting children Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations. Schedule School hours, when students are in session.

Pay:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
