Position Title School Counselor - Anticipated Probationary Required Application Type Teacher / Admin Salary/Pay Scale Per WCT Contract Job Description The Wappingers Central School District is seeking candidates to fill an anticipated School Counselor position with an effective start date of on or about September 2, 2026. This is a full-time probationary tenure-track position. The WCSD offers competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, professional development, and mentor support. Job Qualifications Only those candidates holding valid NYSED School Counselor certification will be considered. Although the certification required for the position is specific, the school in which the position will be located has yet to be determined. To complete a candidate folder, you must include three letters of recommendation bearing the writers' actual signatures, dated within the last 18 months, a valid teaching certificate, and transcripts. Application Procedure Candidates must be prepared to provide additional documents to complete a candidate folder, including three letters of recommendation bearing the writers' signatures, dated within the last 18 months, valid teaching certificate, and transcripts.
