Job Summary Job Summary The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a full-time vacancy for a College and Career Center Specialist at San Luis High School, in San Luis Obispo, CA. The eligibility list created from this recruitment will be used to fill any vacancies in this classification that occur over a six month period. College and Career Center Specialists plan, coordinate, and participate in a variety of college and career-related activities; assist students, faculty, staff, parents, and community representatives in the use of the resources provided by the college and career center.   • -CalPERS retirement benefit View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Successful candidates for this position will possess a combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to two years of college, and two years of related experience.
Previous experience organizing activities for a school or community program, specific course work in college and career guidance or a related field or a bachelor's degree preferred. Applications will be screened and evaluated for relevant knowledge, skills, abilities and experience on a job-related basis, and to ensure that all required documents are submitted. Candidates who successfully pass screening and have submitted all required documents may proceed to an exam. The documents listed below are required. A transcript can be excluded if the candidate's total years of relevant experience meet or exceed the minimum qualification requirements for both education and experience, allowing experience to substitute for the education requirement. Copy of Transcript (Transcript showing two years of college coursework.) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (At least 1 signed letter from a professional reference, created within the past two years, and preferably on letterhead.) Resume (Include dates worked at each location.)
